Welcome!

Hi, I'm Nikki and I'm so glad that you're here. It takes courage to start the journey of healing, finding clarity, and gaining confidence. Sometimes life throws obstacles in your path, or perhaps you've been grappling with longer term struggles. Whatever the root of your challenges may be, my goal is to help you find your way.

I work with adults and teens and specialize in grief, women's issues, relationship issues, and supporting graduate/professional students and the veterinary profession. I also see clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and a variety of other issues. My practice embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion and is LGBTQ+ affirming. I provide therapy with a trauma-informed lens and focus on a client-centered, strengths-based, and somatic approach. I utilize EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative practices as well.

There is wisdom in your story and I would be honored to collaborate with you, guide you, help you reflect, and perhaps even challenge you a bit. As a trained therapist, I strive to create a safe environment with open communication, while welcoming your perspectives. I invite you to show up just as you are, whether that is sad, glad, angry, anxious, or just messy. The only expectation is that you are honest with yourself and ready to dig in.

I, too, have experienced life's ups and downs, and I know firsthand how important a supportive and empathetic therapeutic relationship can be. Together we can explore hopes, fears, and goals in order for you to build a life that you envision; not just a life that you survive, but one in which you thrive.

I have earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and a Master's in Social Work, both from Colorado State University. In addition to private practice, I am passionate about the human-animal bond and its therapeutic benefits, and hold a Graduate Certificate in Social Aspects of Human-Animal Interactions.

I am a mother to two extraordinary young men and two middle-aged dogs. I'm a proud Latvian American, and a native New Yorker who has been embracing the Colorado lifestyle for 25 years. I love to dabble in hiking, backpacking, kayaking, road biking, mountain biking, rock climbing, via ferrata, downhill skiing, cross-country and skate skiing, showshoeing, riding horses, nature photography, and singing badly on road trips. Always looking for adventure intel!
