Services

Individual Counseling
I work with adults navigating grief, women’s issues, relationship challenges, and the unique pressures faced by professional and graduate students. I also support clients coping with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and a variety of other concerns.
My approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, somatic techniques, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.

My practice is rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I am proud to offer LGBTQ+ affirming care.

EMDR Therapy
EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the client to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes, showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences (Maxfield, 2019). EMDR therapy has even been superior to Prozac in trauma treatment (Van der Kolk et al., 2007).

I incorporate EMDR as part of a personalized approach to therapy, helping clients process difficult emotions and move toward greater healing and resilience.

Veterinary Social Work
I provide compassionate support to veterinary professionals, students, and clients navigating the complex emotional challenges unique to veterinary medicine and the human-animal bond. I understand the heavy toll of moral injury, compassion fatigue, burnout, and nervous system dysregulation that comes with caring deeply for animals and their humans. In addition to these challenges, many veterinary team members face interpersonal and communication difficulties that can add strain to an already demanding environment. My tailored approach offers practical tools and emotional support to promote resilience, well-being, and compassionate care in every interaction.
